We want to hear from you!
Rice County has a lot of parks: 12 in all, plus a bird sanctuary on Shields Lake.
But how are the 1,109 acres and 12.5 miles of trail being used? And are they meeting the needs of Rice County's residents?
In 2021, the Rice County Board of Commissioners hired a consulting firm to help it take an in-depth look at the county's outdoor amenities and deliver recommendations for the future of the county's parks system.
To help ensure the study reflects residents' opinions, Rice County is asking residents to share their thoughts about the county's parks and trails: what's working, what's not, and most of all, how can the parks -- specific sites and the system overall -- be enhanced?
