Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

COVID-19 information

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new viral respiratory illness that can spread from person-to-person. There is no vaccine for the virus, so people should take steps to protect themselves by stopping the spread of germs. For the most up-to-date information about COVID-19, visit the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) websites.

  • Symptoms- The CDC believes that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear 2–14 days after being exposed to the virus:
    • Fever
    •  Cough
    • Shortness of breath
  • If you have been in close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past two weeks AND develop symptoms, call your doctor.
  • If you have recently traveled from an area with widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19 AND develop symptoms, call your doctor.
  • Viruses don’t discriminate, and neither should we. Stigma will not fight the virus but sharing accurate information will.
