The Sheriff’s administration is comprised of the sheriff, chief deputy, lieutenant, emergency manager, jail administrator and assistant jail administrator, administrative assistant and eight line staff supervisors with various administrative assignments.
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office subscribes to the Total Quality Management business model, thereby flattening the hierarchical structure and giving more responsibility, decision-making authority and ownership to a greater number of stakeholders.
Three records specialists provide technical support to the Sheriff’s Office. They coordinate, classify, and process all data associated with the calls for service generated through the Consolidated Dispatch Center.
The records staff ensures that all records are processed according to Minnesota Justice Information Systems requirements and Sheriff’s Office procedures. Other duties include entering citations, warrants and data entry of all information into the in-house Records Management System, e-charging, e-filing, and various other agencies requirements.
It assists with various requests, public fingerprint processing, tow releases, report requests and reception duties to all incoming non-emergency phone calls.
