What are the hours, rates and acceptable items for the Rice County Landfill?

HOURS:
MONDAY - FRIDAY from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
April-October: 2nd & 4th Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
November-March: 2nd Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

RATES FOR SELF HAULERS:
Small Load = $19.89 (tax included)
Medium Load = $28.78 (tax included)
Large Loads = $63.33 per ton (plus tax)

ACCEPTED:
Household refuse (food, diapers, etc.)
Asbestos (24-hour notice is required)
Furniture Green treated wood
Empty dried paint cans (remove lids) Railroad ties
New construction material (all carpet and backing)

NOT ALLOWED IN LANDFILL:
Recyclables
Paints or any hazardous waste
Yard waste
Pallets
Tires
Appliances
Ashes in barrels

LOADS WITH UNACCEPTABLE MATERIAL ARE SUBJECT TO A $100.00 CLEAN-UP FEE
