No Wake Restrictions LIFTED on All Rice County Waterways

July 01, 2014
Water levels on Rice County waterways have subsided around Rice County, allowing the Sheriff’s Office to lift the No Wake Restrictions that were enacted on June 20th.  This took effect at 8:00 a.m. today.  The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all boating enthusiasts for their cooperation.  We would also like to remind boaters that river and lake levels are still above normal and to use caution and common sense as we approach the Independence Day Holiday.  There may have been some erosion and there may be new obstructions in the water, especially along shorelines.  Please be respectful of other people on the waterways.  Remember to wear your personal flotation devices and don’t operate watercraft after consuming alcohol.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend.
