Motokazieland Recreational Park - EAW

Rice County has submitted to the Environmental Quality Board an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for Motokazieland Recreational Park which includes construction of several motorcycle (i.e. motocross and street bike), class 1 and 2 all-terrain vehicle (ATVs), and recreational tracks/trails along with associated camping, and accessory facilities on approximately 134 acres west of Interstate 35 in Sections 1 and 12 of Wells Township, Rice County.

Written comments that address the accuracy and completeness of the materials contained in the EAW, potential impacts that may warrant further investigation, and the need for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the proposed project will be accepted by the County during the thirty-day period from March 4, 2013 to April 3, 2013.

The Rice County Planning Commission will also accept verbal comments that address the accuracy and completeness of the materials contained in the EAW, potential impacts that may warrant further investigation, and the need for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the proposed project at the March 7, 2013 Planning Commission meeting at the Rice County Government Services Building, 320 NW 3^rd Street, Faribault, MN.  The meeting will begin immediately following the Board of Adjustment’s 6:00 pm meeting.  If you have any questions, please contact Rice County Environmental Services Department at 507-332-6113.
