Located at:  14398 Irwin Path, Montgomery, MN 56069

On March 8, 2011 the Rice County Board of Commissioners approved a $400,000 Parks & Trails Legacy Grant for the Rehabilitation and Redevelopment of McCullough Park & Campground.  As part of the grant agreement, the County will contribute $134,000 making the total project cost $534,000.

Grant funds were received from the Parks & Trails Fund, created by the Minnesota Legislature from the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment approved by voters in 2008. Of the $25 million requested, Rice County was included in the $4.19 million available.

As part of the grant, Rice County will improve the existing infrastructure, by constructing a new septic system, dump station, and bathroom/shower facility.

Future amenities will include the following:

  • Picnic Shelter
