/maps/index.phpHow do I reserve a shelter at a County park? Albers Park on Union Lake has a large pavilion that can be reserved for an event. The permit fee is $20. Please call (507) 332-6105 to arrange for a permit. Other park shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Special requests for reservations will be considered on case-by-case basis, with special consideration given to youth groups, educational organizations and non-profit organizations. Is camping available at County parks? At this time camping is permitted only at Cannon River Wilderness Area Park. The (four) campsites there are primitive hike-in or canoe campsites. A portable toilet is available from May - October at the east side parking area. Please pack out what you pack in. What about the campground at McCullough Park on Shields Lake? The campground is currently closed for renovations and will most likely be closed for most of the 2010 camping season.
