How do I dispose of Household Hazardous Waste?

Common household products, such as paints, solvents, cleaning products, adhesives and pesticides can be hazardous to humans,
animals and the environment when improperly disposed. Rice County works with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to provide a safe place for residents to dispose of household chemicals.

Residents are encouraged to bring in any unwanted hazardous waste to the Hazardous Waste Facility during below listed hours.

Rice County Household Hazardous Waste Facility Location: Rice County Recycling Center (1 mile east of Hwy. 3 between Faribault and Northfield)

Hours: Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

April-October: 2nd & 4th Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

November-March: 2nd Saturday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
