Rice County Transportation Plan

Rice County has adopted a comprehensive, countywide Transportation Plan to prepare for the anticipated growth and development expected over the next 20 years. Through careful planning ahead of the growth, Rice County residents can experience an enhanced quality of life through maintained and/or improved mobility while minimizing costs and impacts of transportation related improvements. The Transportation Plan enables the county, cities, and townships to make well thought-out planning decisions beforehand rather than hastily responding to challenges brought on as a cumulative result of development. By establishing a countywide vision for the future transportation system, Rice County can proactively shape how their transportation system will best serve the people of Rice County.
