Information for the Public

Rice County contracts with board and lodge, adult foster care, assisted living, adult day services, meals-on-wheels, respite, home care, and related providers. Also, with an increasing number of disabled persons under the age of sixty-five living in community rather than institutional settings, Rice County Public Health has sought additional vendors able to provide services such as pre-vocational training and supported employment. Rice County is fortunate to have a wide variety of long-term care resources for its residents.

Persons or family members of persons who need long term care in the community or who want to learn more about community resources are encouraged to call Rice County Public Health and ask about Long Term Care Consultation services or by visiting the Minnesota Board on Aging at http://www.mnaging.org/home/sitemap.html

Information for Contracted Vendors

Throughout 2009, Rice County Public Health, in partnership with the Faribault Senior Center, will offer educational programs of interest to our contracted vendors, at no cost to the attendees.  Information about the programs will be posted on this site, and contractors are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities for staff and owner education offered here in Rice County at no charge.
