Emergency Medical Services Provider Council

 

Background

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Provider Council was started in 1988. This group represents EMS providers in Rice County. The group meets approximately quarterly and is administratively supported by Rice County Public Health.

 

Purpose

The EMS Provider Council group meets to ensure coordination among providers and assesses EMS needs in the County. The Council also functions in an advisory capacity to the Public Healthy Departments emergency preparedness planning efforts.

 

Membership & Terms

Membership consists of Rice County EMS Providers and emergency response partners.

 

Current Members

The Council includes representatives of Rice County law enforcement, fire/rescue services, emergency medical/ambulance services, first responders, hospitals, healthcare, emergency management, townships, the public health department, the Rice County Board of Commissioners, member of the MN Board of Animal Health, and citizen representatives.
 
 

2013 - Meeting Dates

Meetings are held from 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday in the months of January, April, July, and October - at rotating meeting locations.
