Rice County Children’s Mental Health Case Management serves children up to the age of 18 years identified as struggling with a severe emotional disturbance which is having a negative impact in one area of their lives…family, school or social. We provide an assessment of a child’s emotional and mental health needs and coordinate an extensive and wide ranging number of Community services and programs to meet these needs. Rice County Children’s Mental Health can also provide supports to these children’s families.
The goal of Rice County Children’s Mental Health is to assist families in obtaining services and programs which can help their child become healthier and happier and to coordinate the efforts of everyone involved with a child. We work with families towards improving a child’s emotional well-being and development, their relationships with family and friends, and their ability to get along with others and function effectively at home, in school and in the community. Families which are self-sufficient and capable of meeting their own needs in the community are goals for every family served by Rice County Children’s Mental Health. Rice County Children’s Mental Health is a strictly voluntary program which parents and children must be open to participating in.
