Three Records Specialists provide technical support to the Sheriff’s Office. They coordinate, classify, and process all data associated with the calls for service generated through the Consolidated Dispatch Center. The records staff ensures that all records are processed according to MNJIS (Minnesota Justice Information Systems) requirements and within the Sheriff’s Office procedures. Other duties include entering citations, warrants, and data entry of all information into the in-house RMS (Records Management System), e-charging, e-filing, and various other agencies requirements. The records staff assists with walk-in citizens, various requests, public fingerprint processing, tow releases, report requests, and provide reception duties to all incoming non-emergency phone calls.
