Solid Waste Facility
Due to the current CORVID-19 situation, the Rice County Solid Waste Facility remains closed to the Public until further notice. The Rice County Solid Waste Facility will continue to be open for licensed haulers.
Rice County has Licensed Haulers that service all areas of the County. Please contact a Licensed Hauler if you are in need of services. The list below are the Solid Waste Haulers that are currently licensed to operate within Rice County:

Please remember, per Minnesota State Statutes and Rules, it is still illegal to burn, bury, or dump trash and other waste products in or upon any public highway or public lands to include ditches and other areas even during this pandemic.

The mission of the Rice County Solid Waste Facility is to properly collect and safely dispose of waste generated by the residents and businesses of Rice County in a manner that is environmentally safe. This includes the collection and processing of wastes such as:
- Household Hazardous Waste
- Variety of Recyclables Including Electronic Waste
- Very Small Quantity Generators of Hazardous Waste
- Yard Waste
The Solid Waste Facility is responsible for the efficient and environmentally sound disposal of solid waste for the county.
